Reporting to the Manager, Call Centre Operations, and the successful candidate will be part of the Donor Care team (Plan’s customer relations team) whose responsibility is to support Plan’s existing donor base with answers to questions about their accounts or about Plan’s sponsorship programs and the work we support in the field.
The Donor Care Acquisition Associate will work on the newly formed internal sales team, whose mandate will be to acquire new sponsorships or assist in the upgrade of current sponsorships. The hours for this role are between 8am to 10pm, EST - Monday to Friday and 9am to 6pm, EST - Saturday and Sunday. The Successful candidate will be required to work a full time (37.5 hours a week) within these hours. Training is paid for a full 2 weeks.
Calling on telefundraising campaigns to Plan International Canada’s existing donor base and leads; to fundraise and acquire new sponsorships
Interacts with donors and provides an exceptional fundraising experience through positive impact messaging.
Exceeds daily and monthly sales and quality targets
Works well in a fast paced environment where you are required to prioritize and multi task
Contributes to the success of Plan International campaigns through process improvements and donation processing
Engaging donors in conversation and inspiring them about Plan International’s work done in the field and in Canada
Other duties as assigned
Skills, experience, qualifications:

Previous retail or phone sales/fundraising experience is an asset (over 1 year previous experience)
Ability to meet and exceed daily/weekly/monthly targets
Strong negotiation and promotional skills
Manages to balance quality and efficiency at all times
Flexible and adaptable in handling varying schedules
Possess superior listening skills that will allow them to gather data, identify sponsor behaviors and inform them on product features.
A strong work ethic coupled with tact and diplomacy
Personal values consistent with those of Plan International’s corporate values
